“Our campaign is dedicated to getting our conservative message to the voters,” Francis said. “My wife, Jody, and I are all in. This ad, with the momentum we received at the end of the year, is an exciting addition to our campaign. I am committed to winning this race and being the trusted conservative leader that HD-60 deserves.”
Francis announced his candidacy for the seat following the revelation that incumbent State Rep. Mike Lang (Granbury) would not be seeking re-election. Francis, the long-time conservative activist who has served on the board of organizations like Live Action and PragerU, made headlines in his announcement by pledging to only take contributions from individuals in his campaign and not a dime from lobbyists or PACs.
Texas House District 60 is comprised of Brown, Callahan, Coleman, Eastland, Hood, Palo Pinto, Shackelford, and Stephens counties. The Republican Party Primary Election for the seat will be held March 3, 2020.
